The Three-Step Process

The Energetic Debt process gives the work a clear sequence: find where your body is losing energy, recharge it at the source, and protect the gains.

Detect01Discover where your body is losing energy.Advanced assessments and decades of clinical expertise to find hidden stressors and root causes.
Correct02Recharge your body at the source.Targeted therapies and customized care to restore function, resilience, and healing potential.
Protect03Protect what you've gained.Sustainable rhythms, environment, and alignment that keep your body out of energetic debt.

How an internal signal becomes an immune alarm

This section traces the proposed sequence: mitochondrial stress, loss of containment, immune recognition, inflammatory signaling, and a cycle that can reinforce itself.

Mitochondria keep internal signals contained

Mitochondria are the power plants inside your cells, and they carry their own compact DNA (mtDNA), separate from the DNA in the nucleus. They run under constant demand to make the energy every system in your body depends on.

The Energetic Debt model begins when accumulated stress outpaces the body's ability to protect, repair, recycle, and rebuild mitochondria. When their structure is compromised, mtDNA and other internal parts can end up where they don't belong.[1][2][6][8]

1 · HEALTHY vs. IN ENERGETIC DEBT stress Containedenergy made, DNA held in Leakingstress outpaces repair

Misplaced mitochondrial DNA becomes a danger signal

Mitochondrial DNA still carries features from its ancient bacterial ancestry. When it shows up in the cell's fluid or outside the cell, immune sensors respond much the way they would to an invading bacteria or virus.[6][7][8]

In other words, your immune system isn't malfunctioning at random. It may be reacting to a real signal coming from inside your own cells.

2 · THE IMMUNE SYSTEM NOTICES Leaked mtDNA ! Immune sensor Looks like bacterial DNA, so it is treated like an invader
Innate immune cells detect leaked mtDNA and other internal components as danger signals.

The alarm recruits a larger inflammatory response

Once those sensors switch on, immune cells release signaling molecules that call in more cells and amplify the response. Messengers such as TNF-alpha, IL-6, IL-1 beta, and type I interferons turn a local warning into a body-wide inflammatory environment.[6][7][8]

3 · THE ALARM GETS LOUDER TNF-α IL-6 IL-1β Type I IFN
More leaked material can recruit more immune activity and increase inflammatory signaling.

The immune response can reinforce the cycle

The model organizes the sequence into a feedback loop: damage produces leakage, leakage sets off an immune alarm, the alarm increases inflammation, and that inflammation adds more stress to cells and mitochondria.[6][7][8]

That loop is one reason symptoms can keep going long after the original trigger is gone.

4 · THE AUTOIMMUNE CYCLE Damage Leakage Immune alarm Inflammation Self-reinforcing
The Energetic Debt model arranges the damage-to-inflammation pathway as a repeating cycle.

Why it shows up differently in different people

Symptoms depend on which tissues are involved and each person's cellular thresholds. Autoimmune markers can also appear long before a formal diagnosis.

Autoimmune markers can appear before diagnosis

Autoimmune markers and symptoms can develop well before someone gets a formal diagnosis. By then, the underlying process may have been building for months or years. Research in lupus has documented autoantibodies years before clinical diagnosis.[12]

If you've felt "off" for years while being told your labs look fine, this may be part of why.

5 · THE QUIET YEARS BEFORE DIAGNOSIS often years of silent buildup Cell stressbuilds Autoantibodiesappear Symptomscome & go Diagnosisfinally named Lupus autoantibodies have been found years before diagnosis [12]
Diagnosis may come after markers and symptoms have already been developing.

Energetic Debt looks for the earlier signal

Antibodies, inflammation, and symptoms are real, established parts of autoimmune disease, and most care starts there. Energetic Debt asks what happens before those signs become visible.

The model traces the signal back upstream to cell stress, mitochondrial damage, and loss of containment. That's where Dr. Terry's Detect step begins.

Two different starting points: the downstream immune response and the upstream signal.

Every tissue and every person has a different threshold

Each cell can hold many copies of mtDNA, and those copies don't always match. Researchers call this mix heteroplasmy. Studies show the proportion and location of a variant can influence when a tissue starts to lose function.[2][3][5][11]

The model uses this threshold idea to explain why the same pressure can look like thyroid trouble in one person, joint pain in another, and gut issues in a third.

Different tissues and individual thresholds shape how a shared process shows up.

Symptom relief and cellular repair are separate goals

The model separates three jobs: lowering the immune alarm, supporting the body, and changing the cellular conditions that set off the alarm in the first place.

Turning down the alarm is not the same as fixing the source

Calming immune activity and inflammation can reduce symptoms, and that matters. In the Energetic Debt framework, that is called turning down the alarm.

The framework also asks a second question: have the cellular conditions that set off the alarm actually changed? If not, symptoms tend to return when support is removed. Keep working with your treating physicians on any medication decisions.

8 · QUIET ALARM ≠ FIXED SOURCE ≠ Alarm turned downsymptoms quieter Source unchangedthe leak may continue
Managing symptoms and restoring cellular function are two different goals.

Support is not the same as restoration

Nutrition, sleep, stress care, movement, and supplements all change the demands placed on your body, and they're part of Protect. The model draws a line between lowering the burden around a struggling system and restoring that system's ability to contain, communicate, make energy, clear debris, and rebuild.[1][2][8]

That's why so many people who "do everything right" still hit a wall.

Foundational support helps, but restoring cellular energy is a different layer.

How the Energy Recharge System organizes restoration

Different burdens can meet at the same point of cellular vulnerability. Dr. Terry and Dr. Lori built the Energy Recharge System to work that shared point in a clear order.

Different triggers, one shared pathway

Viruses, bacteria, mold, chemicals, heavy metals, parasites, metabolic strain, and chronic stress are very different exposures. In this model, each one adds to the demand on cellular protection and repair.[1][2][8]

The proposed meeting point is the loss of mitochondrial integrity, followed by internal danger signaling. It's less about which trigger you had, and more about the state of your mitochondria.

It's not just the trigger. It's the state of your mitochondria.

The complete Energy Recharge sequence

Detect finds where your body is losing energy and what's driving it. Correct works on the cell itself: restoring voltage, supporting repair at the source, clearing leaked material and debris, and restoring communication across systems. Protect builds the resilience that keeps you out of energetic debt.

Every plan is built around your history, your diagnosis, and your goals.

How frequency care recharges the cell from the inside out

12 · FROM THE INSIDE OUT Weak signalFrequency inputRecharged
Therapeutic frequencies are designed to support cellular communication and repair from the inside out.

Every cell runs on bioelectricity. Healthy cells hold a voltage across their membrane, communicate through electrical signals, and use that communication to regulate everything from energy production to immune response. When mitochondria are damaged and leaking, that electrical integrity drops. The cell is running on a weak signal.

Therapeutic frequencies are designed to reach tissue and interact with cellular structures, including the mitochondria. The goal isn't to override your biology. It's to restore the communication environment that lets your cells do what they already know how to do: repair, regulate, and return to function.

Dr. Terry has spent decades as a chiropractor working on the body's largest communication network, the nervous system. Frequency care brings that same principle down to the level of the cell. Alignment restores the signal between systems. Frequency work supports the signal inside them.

Think of it this way: diet and supplements give the construction crew better materials and more rest. Frequency care restores the radio system on the job site so the crew can coordinate the repair. Both matter, but without the second one, the first one has limits.

When all three layers are addressed together, the aim is more energy from healthier mitochondria, a cleaner cellular environment, and an immune system with a reason to return to balance.
