Too many of us have seen people following the “sickness model” with an over-prescription of drugs, unnecessary surgery, the detrimental side effects of long-term stress and a much reduced quality of life. While we live longer, we don’t always live in the manner consistent with the highest possible quality of health.
What our country needs now is more healthy people, not more medicine. America’s medical system is on the cutting edge when it comes to dealing with trauma and infectious disease but extraordinarily ill equipped to deal with chronic degenerative diseases which comprise up to 95% of today’s health concerns.
You might say that I was born to become a chiropractor. My dad’s office was in our home in Santa Barbara, California.
When I was a young boy, my brother Lance and I would watch patients come into our house - sometimes in great pain, limping, crying or in some cases even being helped into dad’s (Dr. Robert Schroeder) treatment room.
At that young age, we really did not fully understand what was happening in that room behind closed doors, however, we knew it was something magical because most people were standing taller, happy, and oftentimes laughing with my dad when they came out of the “magic room”.
My dad became my hero and I decided that I wanted to be like him and become a chiropractor one day.
That goal was always with me - even as I pursued my other passion of making it to the Olympic team one day.
By the way, this dream was also fueled by my dad who always encouraged me to dream and constantly told me that one day I would become an Olympian.
When I was a student at Pepperdine University, I realized that dream and made the 1980 Olympic team in the sport of water polo.
Unfortunately, that dream was derailed by the Olympic boycott in 1980. Shortly after the boycott, I entered chiropractic school at Palmer West in Sunnyvale, California.
I was excited to learn as much as I could and become a healer like my dad. During my first year at Palmer, I met a girl who knocked me off my feet.
She was beautiful, funny, and intelligent and the more I got to know her the more I realized that this was to be my life partner. We were equally yoked in so many ways but most importantly we both shared a strong desire to help others with their health.
Lori and I would marry shortly after we graduated and we continue to be partners in life.
Lori was and is my biggest fan.
She supported me through my athletic career which spanned 3 more Olympic Games (after the boycott).
Our water polo team won silver medals in 1984 and 1988. I was also honored to be selected to carry the USA flag in the closing ceremonies at the 1988 Olympic games.
I have to credit chiropractic for helping to keep me healthy and performing at the highest level through 4 Olympic Games (1978 – 1992).
After graduating from Palmer, Lori and I opened a practice together in Agoura Hills, California where we enjoyed helping families and patients of all ages to better health.
We practiced this way for 20 years and then something happened that changed everything. My dad had a pretty severe stroke and he would eventually pass from the complications. Needless to say, I was devastated.
I had lost my hero!
The most difficult part of losing my dad was a feeling of helplessness. With all of my skills as a chiropractor, I felt unprepared and unable to help my dad as I wanted to.
This was a true turning point in our practice. Lori and I became dedicated to learning how we could help our family, friends, and patients with more severe health issues.
We had no idea how or who to learn from but we began to go to more and more seminars and conferences to learn what we could.
In 2012, we went to a seminar given by Dr. Robert DeMartino. This turned out to be our Eureka moment.
Everything that Dr. Rob talked about made sense to us. He introduced us to a concept called Energetic Debt that makes all the sense in the world and is in alignment with our core foundational principle that the body is designed to heal itself.
You can learn more about Energetic Debt on a video I made on our home page. We have been studying with Dr. Rob since and continue to learn more about how we can correct Energetic Debt and fix the root cause of disease and restore health to so many of our patients with tough dealing with chronic health issues.
Lori and I are committed to studying and learning from the best. We have also joined an anti-aging mastermind and are excited to bring some of the most innovative technologies and methods we are learning from that group into our office as well.
We now feel very confident in helping more of our patients with most conditions that they present with.
I wish I knew what I know now when my dad was sick
I believe that we could have helped him.
We are committed to helping as many people as we can to find better health and as a result, live the life they were designed to live.
To help them Live In Alignment.
Philosophy Based and Results Oriented
First and foremost, we believe that our bodies are the most amazing creation. We believe that the body is self-regulating and self-healing as long as interference is removed.
All of our research and treatment protocols are designed to support the body in its quest to be and stay healthy. Our number one goal is patient results. It is why we are constantly bringing new equipment and treatment options into our office.
We do our best to use the right tool, for the right person, at the right time in order to insure the best outcome. No one size fits all here, to get the best results your treatment has to be custom tailored to what you need.
Science-Backed and Solution Focused
Sometimes natural care gets thought of like voodoo magic. But to the contrary, all things that we do are 100% backed by science.
Science has come a massively long way to understanding more about how the human body works and how we can help it perform optimally. Most medical care just focuses on managing symptoms.
No band-aids here.
We are committed to getting to the process of getting to the root cause of the problem.
When we get to the root cause, you will be better off both short term and long term.
Cutting-Edge Research & Patient Partnership
In dealing with some of the more complicated problems around, we bring the most up-to-date research to the table to guide us in what needs to be done to get results. The American Medical Association says that clinically most doctors are 18 years behind the research. That is unacceptable. If we are to get results in chronic complicated issues, we need to stack the deck in our favor as much as possible and use everything at our disposal to get a favorable result.
We are committed to staying up to date so that we can insure you that you will get the best possible care and results. In order to accomplish this goal, this needs to be a collaborative effort between us and our patients.
We (the doctors) can not be solely responsible for your health. We understand that getting well is complicated and we are excited to be your guide.
We want you to understand what is going wrong and empower you to be in control.
We will work on how we can help, and what you can do to help yourself to handle your health challenges once and for all. As we work together, we can help you on this journey toward optimal health.
Integrative Approach and Simple Application
Diet, exercise, supplements, and lifestyle changes are all great but are they the only things we can do to improve our health? No answer is no.
Technology has come so far that it now allows us to be able to affect things that even 20 years ago we would have had no option against.
A more modern approach is needed and available. Most problems now are solved through technology, why would health care be any different?
Physics governs biology and chemistry so we need to focus on how to restore physics (energy) in the body! That is exactly what our biotechnologies do.
Our job is to take the complicated science behind what is causing your challenge and create as simple of an application as possible so that we can o get you the best possible results without it becoming all-consuming in your life.
We want you to be healthy so that you can live your life to the fullest. To live your life in alignment.
